Mother's Day 2010

I know I'm a little late blogging about Mother's Day but oh well. Rob made it a point to celebrate Mother's Day with me the entire weekend which I truly appreciated. The celebration started on Friday evening when he surprised with two orders of chocolate-covered strawberries from the Dutch's Daughter. They were so delicious and were a complete indulgence that any mother would have enjoyed. I savored each berry.

Saturday morning was a treat in and of itself because I got to sleep in till 9:15 AM and then Rob and Alaina surprised me with breakfast in bed. We ate scrambled eggs, bacon and toast and we got crumbs all through the bed but it was fun and different and I loved every second of it. Alaina then brought her gift to me and helped me open it. She gave me the "Child's Touch" Willow Tree figurine and I just adore it!

On Sunday morning, Rob and I became members of Calvary United Methodist Church in Frederick, MD and after church, he and Alaina gave me my Mother's Day cards. It was such a wonderful weekend!! I love every second of being a mother. What a blessing!
