Only 2 weeks to go!

I'm 37 weeks pregnant today. Last Friday I had my 36 week ultrasound to check on the baby's enlarged kidney. While his one kidney is still enlarged, it’s no longer on the “dangerous” side so he won’t need to be on antibiotics at birth. Whew!

The other news is that the baby weighs 7lbs, 5oz. already and apparently has broad shoulders. This is NOT good news for me since I was hoping to birth him naturally like I did Alaina; I’m hoping to avoid the trauma of a c-section at all costs. The perinatologist is worried about shoulder dysplasia occurring should he get much bigger so he told me that if I haven’t already given birth by 39 weeks, they will induce me. Not ideal by any circumstances, but it looks like he might be born on or about March 17th. Only two weeks to go!
